Kohler doesn't produce any mowers itself but it produces a range of motors which many lawn mowering companies use in their mowers. So what you will see while you go mower shopping is some of the mower companies bragging of using a Kohler mower in their manufacturing.

Maintaining you Kohler Motor
- The Right Fuel Type
- Use only clean, fresh, unleaded fuel with an octane rating of 87 or higher.
- Fuel does have a used by date so purchase only what you need to use.
- Store in approved containers only.
- Do not add oil to the gasoline.
- Do not overfill the fuel tank. Leave room for the fuel to expand.
- The Right Oil Type
- Use high-quality detergent oil of API Service Class SG, SH, SJ or higher.
- In warmer weather use of synthetic oil having 5W-20 or 5W-30 rating. In colder weather Synthetic oils will provide better starting.
- Remember to check the oil regularly and if dirty replace it.
- And if your have a Kohler lawnmower - clean the grass off it after each mow.
